Hotel Sterling Re-development Plan
Design: This project integrates the restoration of a historic Philadelphia hotel with broader city goals of urban planning and expansion. Phase one of the project entails the restoration of the central building’s historic interiors, such as the refurbishment of a coffered ceiling and ornate columns in the large first floor ballroom. The proposal also includes the integration of 40 new condominium units and 20,000 sf of commercial space within the current shell. Phase II expands the site to include a new hotel or residential tower and accompanying parking structure. Retail developments along Market Street, streetscape improvements, and a riverside park and promenade assist in integrating the site into the surrounding community.
Role: Updated and expanded drawing set to include programmatic changes and development, and assisted in creating renderings and client presentations.
